The Head & Neck shot requires a few feet of space between the subject and the camera to frame the shot. The head and neck subject shot should frame from the collar bones to the top of the crown of the head. This image should display the true color of the surrounding skin and hair. Acceptable depth of field in this image should show clarity in all planes of the shot. The contours should be able to be appreciated. The image should be free of shadows and specular highlighting. This shot is obtained with the camera parallel to the frontal plane of the head & neck and with the camera height at the same level as the focal point.
