Digital Camera – DSLR – Posterior Torso

Download Adobe Acrobat

The posterior torso shot requires a bit of distance between the subject and the camera to frame the shot, of course this is dependent on the lens used for imaging. The posterior torso subject shot should frame from the waist line to the top of the shoulders or the bottom of the neck. This image should display the true color of the skin and hair visible. Acceptable depth of field in this image should show clarity in all planes of the shot. The contours should be able to be appreciated. The image should be free of shadows and specular highlighting. With high resolution images, great detail in skin features should be able to be appreciated. The subject should be draped and free of distractions. This shot is obtained with the camera parallel to the posterior torso and with the camera at a height where it can obtain the shot and not require angling.
