Care/Cleaning/Maintenance
A cotton wipe with soap and water, alcohol or chlorhexidine can be used to clean the stethoscope. Do not immerse any part of the unit in water or any other liquid as this may damage the electronics inside. A cap covering the ear tip may be required when working outside in wind or in other extremely noisy environments.

Functional Aspects
Powering Up
Press the heart button to turn the unit on in bell mode. Press the lung button or off button to turn the unit on in diaphragm mode. No distinct button.
Power Indicator Light
Red light behind the heart button on the chest piece in bell mode. Blue light behind the diaphragm button on the chest piece in diaphragm mode.
Type of On/Off Switch
Buttons located on the chest piece. No clear On button, press any button to power up. Dual purpose Off button. Difficult to consistently press button with finger.

Changing Modes
Press either the button marked with lungs for diaphragm mode or the button marked with a heart shape for bell mode. Each button is located on the chest piece. When in bell mode, a red light comes on behind the heart shaped button. When in diaphragm mode, a blue light comes on behind the lungs button. To switch between modes you must press the off button in between and turn the unit off in between selections.
Changing Volume
Once unit powered on, press the +/- buttons to adjust volume level. The buttons are dual duty, sharing mode and volume indication. Each time the unit is powered on, it starts at middle volume. There is a tone in the ear tips each time the volume is adjusted, with a unique tone when it reaches the minimum and maximum volumes.

Pros
Ear tips are comfortable. Chest piece easy to hold. Single unit. Audio port is easily accessed.
Cons
The power On button is not clear. To change between bell and diaphragm modes, the unit must be powered off in between selections. The buttons on the chest piece are difficult to press with your fingertips. It is hard to read the +/- when the LEDs are illuminated. Battery compartment is difficult to close.
