The TTAC captured a variety of images in the process of evaluating video otoscopes. The subjects included pediatric and adult tympanic membranes, color chart, three resolution charts (Squares, boxes and Lines), and a mesh target overlaid on a white surface, and a field of view chart (Circles).
The following images provide an example of how drastically different the same subject may be captured on different otoscopes. Even with the same target subjects colors, details, and fields of view vary significantly.
