Stethoscope Resources

Digital stethoscopes can be used to listen to a patient’s heart, lung , and bowel sounds at a distance. Most stethoscopes will require separate software to transmit their sounds to the far end provider. Some stethoscopes can be supported by software from multiple different developers, so it is often worthwhile to look at a variety of software solutions before making a selection. Some stethoscopes will connect via USB connection to a PC computer. Others will connect via Bluetooth, or microphone jack connectors. Some stethoscopes connect directly to mobile devices, turning those devices into mobile stethoscope platforms. Other stethoscopes can support a single lead ECG embedded in the stethoscope chest piece.
