HealthTap provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own proprietary software. This product uses WebRTC Standards based video and audio protocols and requires a fast 3G connection or greater (400 kbps+) for the best video experience, and can accommodate slower connections for live text chatting. The HealthTap system does not support a provider panel, and they state that there is no reimbursement mechanism for clinical services provided through this model. HealthTap provides some cost information viewable in our vendor summary, and states additional costs are available upon request.
