Blood pressure measurement is a critical vital sign measured during health care screening, acute care and for chronic conditions. Mobile blood pressure units ease home monitoring for patients and provide accurate data to the clinician. In this toolkit, we assessed four different mobile blood pressure monitors, and provided selection tips for patients to consider prior to purchase.
About Mobile Blood Pressure – includes sections that provide general information on home blood pressure monitoring, including a Technology Overview that walks through a discussion of features, a Deployment and Support guideline that helps look at issues around using blood pressure cuffs in the home, and a Resources section that provides links to websites and information available elsewhere on the web.
Assessment Process – includes sections that provide some information on how the TTAC approached the testing process for the mobile blood pressure devices, as well as summary data for the products in a table format and a series of images and documentation links for each product that was evaluated.
Assessment Results – includes information gathered in the course of the TTAC’s testing efforts. Average (mean) data for each subject and each device are included, as are general summaries of each device. Additionally, the TTAC has produced two separate presentations on mobile blood pressure devices and the assessment process.
