Digital Camera – DSLR – Standards

 The applications of DSLR camera technology in telehealth are vast and reach across many specialties. There are standards for practice and guidelines for use of the technology that can be found among various professional organizations. Guidance surrounding use of the technology can range anywhere from mentions of the technology in position statements, to posted standards of care and technology use guidelines. Some broad specialty categories that utilize DSLR cameras in telehealth include: Dermatology, Pathology, Medical Photography, Dentistry, Sexual Abuse, Forensics, and Microscopy.
