AMD Global Telemedicine

AMD Global Telemedicine provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own Connect N’ Care platform. This product uses WebRTC Standards based video and audio protocols and requires standard Wi-Fi, or 4G or LTE connections in order to provide the best experience. The AMD Global Telemedicine provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers. Reimbursement for clinical services provided includes CMS, Medicaid, Private Insurance and other payers. Amwell

Amwell provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own Amwell platform. This product uses multiple redundant video platforms, and Twillo as the main audio platform, among others, and requires standard Wi-Fi, or 4G connections in order to provide the best experience. The Amwell provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers. Reimbursement for clinical services provided includes CMS, Medicaid, and Private Insurance. Babylon Health

Babylon Health provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services, and leverages multiple in-house technologies for their platform. This product uses the OpenTok video platform, and Twillo as the audio platform, and requires a minimally viable connection to cellular or Wi-Fi Internet in order to provide the best experience. The Babylon Health provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers. Reimbursement for clinical services provided includes CMS, Medicaid, and Private Insurance. Babylon Health does not provide any general cost information and states that cost information is available upon request.

Bright.md

Bright.md provides video, and asynchronous telemedicine services, and uses a cloud-based, technology platform. This product does not have an audio or video platform, and requires as little as a 3G connection to provide services. The Bright.md provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, and reimbursement for clinical services provided includes CMS, Medicaid, and Private Insurance. Babylon Health does not provide any general cost information and states that cost information is available upon request.

CareClix

CareClix provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own CareClix platform. This product uses the CareClix audio and video platform and can accommodate various cellular and internet connections. The CareClix provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers. Reimbursement for clinical services provided includes CMS, Medicaid, and Private Insurance. Curai

Curai is a chat based virtual primary care system that provides asynchronous telemedicine services using their own Curai platform. This product can accommodate various cellular and internet connections for transmission of services, and the provider model supports the use of a provider panel. Curai states that there is no reimbursement mechanism for clinical services provided through this model. Curai did not provide any general cost information.

Heal

Heal provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own Heal platform. This product uses the Heal platform for video and audio, and can be accessed through cellular services or through the Heal platform. The Heal provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers. Reimbursement for clinical services provided includes CMS, Medicaid, Private Insurance and other payers. HealthTap

HealthTap provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own proprietary software. This product uses WebRTC Standards based video and audio protocols and requires a fast 3G connection or greater (400 kbps+) for the best video experience, and can accommodate slower connections for live text chatting. The HealthTap system does not support a provider panel, and they state that there is no reimbursement mechanism for clinical services provided through this model. InTouch Health

InTouch Health provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own proprietary system. This product uses WebRTC Standards based audio and video (Opus codec technology) protocols and requires a minimum 300 kbps – but recommends a higher bandwidth up to 4 Mbps – in order to provide the best experience. The InTouch provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers. Mend Telehealth

Mend Telehealth provides video, audio and asynchronous telemedicine services using their own Mend platform. This product uses their own Mend Telehealth based video and audio platform and requires 100-250 kbps connections to provide services. The Teladoc Health provider model supports the use of a supplied provider panel, the use of the consumer’s provider panel, or a hybrid of both the consumer and their panel of providers.
